Hey there, I'm Justin.
I spend a lot of time thinking about people - how people perceive themselves, other people, products, companies and the world. I'm on a never-ending quest to learn what it is that changes peoples' minds and moves them to act. I currently work at Helix, where we believe in a world where every person benefits from their biological information and is able to help all of humanity lead better lives. It's our mission to empower every person to improve their life through DNA.
Before Helix, I spent almost four years at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) where I focused on building and empowering a more mission-driven, inclusive and ambitious generation of technology leaders. Before Kleiner Perkins, I studied economics at UC Berkeley. I found my passion for serving others in student government where I worked to empower student organizations, construct, and redesign major campus buildings, and execute campaigns focused on civic engagement, mental health, and community. It was an honor to be elected by 36,000 students at the world's #1 public university and serve as the student body's Executive Vice President. While at Cal, I was also the founding designer and managing editor of Caliber Magazine - the student body's first and official print and online lifestyle magazine.
In my free time I love to travel, keep up-to-date on global news and read. I am always up for a challenge and always ready to learn.
